American Integrated Services Inc. is suing electric car maker Tesla over nonpayment of $513,473 at a plant in Fremont, California where the automaker is currently trying to increase production of its Model 3 sedan. American Integrated Services Inc. is a lead and asbestos removing company, working under a total contract for $3.57 million, signed in January 2016. The lawsuit was filed April 3 in a California state court in Oakland. A small Tesla Inc. contractor has sued the auto maker claiming it hasn’t been paid for work at a Fremont, Calif., assembly plant where Tesla is now trying to ramp up production of the Model 3 sedan.
