1983 Toyota FJ45 Troopy Chassis no. FJ459418877 Engine no. 2F772122 When was the last time you have seen a LWB, LHD, fully restored, FJ for sale in the US, and in this condition? Yes, this is a rarely seen FJ45 also known as “Troopy”. This vehicle was acquired about three years ago from its long term owner, who maintained it for the entirety of its life. Even though this Troopy was highly original and in unmolested condition, a restoration company purchased it and decided to give it a complete ground up, frame-off restoration. In every which way, this FJ was meticulously brought back to better than new condition. The exterior was brought down to bare metal and refinished in Toyota period correct shade of yellow. Mechanically, the original 2F engine was fully restored to the original specifications and received an OEM clutch, power steering system, factory exhaust system, and the original axels were fully serviced and resealed. The entire brake system was rebuilt and restored. A new Old Man Emu suspension was installed, and the OEM Toyota Land Cruiser bead lock wheels were chosen to give the Troopy a slightly more aggressive look, but still in within the Factory spectrum. Inside, a new OEM replica upholstery was installed, including a new headliner, custom made floor mats, and a new Nostalgic AC unit. Accompanying this FJ is an extensive photo documentation of the world class restoration.
