1953 Chevrolet Other Pickup Beautiful truck again. This is an extremely clean refurbished 1953 Chevrolet 3100 (1/2 ton) pickup. All new paint inside and out with new interior upholstery and new trim furnishings inside and out. This is a rust free ride. The painter that sprayed the truck did so flawlessly, no runs and it shines like wet glass. The engine came out of a 1962 Chevrolet Impala and it runs great. It is a 6 cylinder 235 cubic inch engine. The rearend came out of a 1954 Chevrolet car and it has a higher gear ratio than what came stocked in this truck so that you can travel down the road 55 to 60 mph. The original rearends were extremely low geared and top speed was 40 to 45 mph. The transmission is a 3 speed column shift or better known as '3 on the tree' standard transmission. All door trim pieces inside and out are stainless steel. The wood floor is new and has 3 coats of polyurethane . The doors open and close effortlessly, they click ---very rare with older trucks.
