1969 FORD MUSTANG MACH 1 FASTBACK first-generation manufactured by Ford March 1964 until 1973. Introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as a pony car. Mustang's styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition. Originally 351 4V V8 with FMX automatic transmission and a 9' rear end. Original engine and transmission are gone. Currently car has a 1989 fuel injected 302 and 5-speed manual from a Foxbody Mustang. Engine has GT40 heads and intake which run great. Transmission has a short throw shifter and shifts nicely through all gears. Engine is wired with the Painless EFI Wiring Assembly. Car has power brakes and power steering. Car is cooled by an aluminum radiator and has flow master dual exhaust. Battery and fuel cell are both located in the trunk. Now fitted with Helix Tubular front suspension with rack and pinion steering. Narrowed 9' rear end is connected with Art Morrison ladder bars w/ coil over shocks. Rear end is limited slip with mid 3:00's gear ratio. Disk brakes up front with drums in the back. Exterior in great shape looks beautiful, tubbed, caged, shock towers were removed. Hood is a bolt-on fiberglass 2' cowl induction, it latches just like the originals (No pins) but has a prop rod to keep it open. Front and rear rims are Center Line 15' rims. Rear tire dimensions are 31x18.50R15LT by Hoosier. Tires are in great shape. Beautiful car has won at many shows. Paint is great driver quality not a cheap job. Under carriage solid, clean and dry. Body panels are straight all glass is intact. Since restoration, has never been to race track.
